Become a progressive, intelligent, and empowering pregnancy and post partum yoga teacher.
8th - 11th September 2025
Daily 10-5, Achievher Studios, Dubai
This training is for you because:
You are a yoga teacher who wants to specialise in pregnancy and postpartum yoga, or simply have a really keen interest and want to learn more for your current classes.
You work with pregnant or postpartum clients in another capacity already and want to offer them more in your toolkit.
Perhaps motherhood is a journey you are going through or considering going through at some point, and want to empower yourself by learning more.
You believe that pregnancy, birth, and postpartum deserves much better understanding and recognition in the yoga and movement world, and you want to contribute to that.
You want to guide women through these profound transitions with confidence, knowledge, and integrity.
You seek a training that is evidence-based, thorough, while also anchored in deeper meaning and intuition.
You know that pregnancy yoga doesn’t have to be slow or boring — you want to teach it in a way that can be creative, embodied, and fun.
““Movement in all its variety of forms is an expression of life and is essential to the continuation of life.””
What to expect:
An approach to pregnancy and postpartum yoga that is intelligent and rich — learning to move beyond simple ‘one size fits all’ modifications to create classes that feel expressive, empowering, and deeply connected to the body.
Facilitators that do not see pregnant people as fragile flowers that need to fear movement, but powerful and capable. You’ll learn to share so many things that people transitioning through this period can confidently still do.
A training that values multi disciplinary study and teaching. Expect to learn information that has perspectives and insights drawn from yoga, up to date anatomy, physio therapy, hypnobirthing, and doula support.
A supportive learning environment where you will be surrounded by like minded individuals, that are compassionate and care deeply about offering more in the field of pregnancy and postpartum.
What you will learn:
The anatomical, physiological, and energetic changes in a pregnant and postpartum body.
In depth understanding of the core, the diaphragm, the pelvic floor, and diastasis recti.
How to create pregnancy and postpartum yoga classes that are inclusive, creative, and deeply embodied — helping women feel strong, spacious, and in tune with their bodies.
Ways to adapt your mixed level yoga classes for each trimester and postpartum recovery.
The role of the nervous system, the power of language, and how to support mothers in this time of transition.
The physiology and hormones of labour and birth, informed consent in a medical setting, and debunking common myths and associations around pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
Understanding birth as a natural primal process and how this can inspire your offerings.
Understanding of Caesarean birth and how your offerings can support this too.
Post-partum and beyond: how to help heal, strength-build, and be a pillar of support to clients.
Guidance on facilitating mum and baby yoga, and the art of holding women’s circles.
Trauma-informed approaches and techniques to teaching and what it means to hold space for mothers.
your TeacherS:
sara otto
I’m Sara and I am passionate in helping others feel confident, balanced and more connected within. Yoga found me in 2007 and has been a positive game changer in my life. It assisted me through the challenges of a corporate career and directed me to where I am today. In 2015, a shift took place, and it was time for me to spread this goodness and guide others. I have been serving the Dubai Yoga community now for 10 years and I absolutely love what I do.
Over the past four years, since becoming a mother of two, I’ve dived deeper in serving women through their sacred time with Prenatal Yoga classes and full antenatal/Hypnobirthing courses.
I am on a mission to help women to be more confident and knowledgeable. To feel empowered and trust their innate wisdom so that the next generation are born with this same vibration.
As well as a yoga teacher, I am an accredited KGH hypnobirthing teacher, a REPS level 2 fitness instructor, lover of nature and wellness.
Alice Gray
I'm Alice and I am on a strong mission to spread purposeful and meaningful yoga and movement. Teaching pre and post natal yoga is a great honour and I love sharing with people everything their miraculous body can still do while being informed, educated, and learning to trust their intuition.
Over the course of my ten year career as a yoga teacher, I have cultivated a deep passion for empowering others through an embodied and intelligent approach to teaching. I have been leading yoga trainings since 2020 and have worked with over 130 teachers to date. I find this work a joy, an honour, and something that I don’t take lightly.
As well as a yoga teacher I am a trained Birth Doula, a Pre and Post Natal Correct Exercise specialist, a qualified Personal Trainer, and a mum.
I am a lover of many styles of movement, and fascinated by the human body and its mystery.

FAQ
How many hours is the course?
The course is 20 hours in total. 28 hours are contact time, with additional self-study and a pre course reflection exercise. We also strongly recommend joining both of our pregnancy yoga classes before starting the course, which you can do so complimentary.
Is there an assessment?
You will have opportunity to practice teaching on the final day of the course where you will get to receive feedback from both us and your peers.
How will I get certification?
Certification will be provided on successful completion of attending all hours of the course and teaching assessment.
Is the course Yoga Alliance accredited?
No the course is not accredited with yoga alliance. There is no compulsory regulatory body in yoga that approves and accredits courses or trainings. This means that once you have successfully completed the course you can go onto to teach pregnancy yoga and post natal classes, without needing a YA accreditation. YA standards are minimal and in our opinion not enough is done to regulate and check programme standards, therefore we decide to not affiliate ourselves. We always recommend that with any course you prioritise the content and its quality, over searching for a logo.
